Family Busy-ness: Becoming a foster family

I spent the morning at the Department of Social Services.  I met with my social worker about my family's application to become a foster family.  This is GREAT news.  Our application is in review to be submitted.  We've started the process years ago and it takes a long time.

The need is great.  Children deserve a safe shelter, food, and guidance.  They need the right people.  The process is long and requires a lot of information.  Not a lot of staff, but lots of work.

Here are the quilts for future kids coming to my home.

These blocks were made by the Quilts For Kids flickr group.

I have two biological children.  The max number of kids allowed by DSS is five.  Our home can have three foster children.  We have one crib and three twin beds.  I've got some work to do.
